How To Get Solar Data And Data Analysis?
1.Solar power energy resource data, solar radiation data can be obtained from county-level weather stations or from the National Weather Bureau. The data obtained from the meteorological bureau is horizontal radiation data, including: horizontal total radiation, horizontal direct radiation and horizontal scattered radiation. The solar power energy resource data include mainly: total solar radiation (irradiance) by month or monthly daily average of total solar radiation and radiation intensity.
The data of climate conditions related to it mainly include: annual average temperature, annual average maximum temperature, annual average minimum temperature, the longest consecutive cloudy days in a year (including precipitation or snow days), annual average wind speed, annual maximum wind speed, annual number of hailstorms, and annual number of sandstorm days. Among them, the monthly values of total solar radiation are essential. In addition, the cumulative data for the last 5-10 years for each of the above data should be provided to assess the validity of the solar power energy resource count and climate condition data.
2.Assessment of the validity of solar resource data. Solar power energy resource data provided by meteorological stations or related departments are used for solar PV system design, and their validity still needs to be evaluated in some cases. First, when the solar power resource data for a specific site is not complete enough or lacks cumulative data for many years, the validity and quantity of solar radiation must be evaluated.
3.Although the local solar energy data are relatively complete and the solar radiation situation is good, there are topographic features near the candidate site that significantly affect solar radiation because the candidate site is in a hilly area cargo. - Glass as an inorganic material, itself has very good weather resistance, resistant to UV, sand, dust and salt spray, to avoid the decay and failure of the module caused by its own aging.
- The glass has good barrier performance, avoiding the attenuation caused by water vapor and air entering the module through the glass.
- The symmetrical structure of the double-glass module with two glass sides has better mechanical strength and is less likely to produce hidden cracks in the cell; the use of glass backsheet also avoids the problem of scratching the backsheet during construction.

2.Introduction of double-glass single-sided module
The double-glass module consists of two tempered glass, EVA adhesive film and solar cells laminated at high temperature by a laminating machine to form a composite layer. It includes tempered glass layer, material layer (PVB, PO, EVA or ionic polymer), monocrystalline or polycrystalline cell group layer, material layer, tempered glass layer set in order from top to bottom.

Each performance is improved, and the scope of application is significantly expanded. Because double-glass modules are made of double glass, their weather resistance and power generation efficiency are better than traditional modules, especially for photovoltaic power plants distributed in areas with high humidity, acid rain or salt fog, agricultural greenhouse solar power station, and solar power station in windy and sandy areas, the advantages of double-glass modules are more significant.
- Water permeability is zero, and the decay rate, efficiency and lifetime are optimized simultaneously. The backsheet material of single-glass module is an organic material, water vapor can penetrate the backsheet and lead to the rapid degradation of EVA resin, whose decomposition product contains acetic acid, which will corrode the silver grid lines and sink strips on the PV cell and make the power generation efficiency of the module decrease year by year. The zero water permeability of the glass reduces the power loss of the module, increases the power generation efficiency, decays by about 0.2 percentage points, and extends the life of the module by 5 years to about 30 years.
- Good mechanical properties, stable and reliable power generation. The abrasion resistance, insulation, water resistance and bearing capacity of glass are better than that of backsheet, which reduces the problems of partial hidden cracks of modules and makes them more stable and reliable. In addition, the fire rating of double-glass module is upgraded from Class C to Class A of traditional modules, which significantly improves the fire performance.
- Large thermal capacity, reducing hot spot effect. The heat capacity of double-glass modules is larger, and the temperature rise rate is smaller compared with ordinary modules, which is less likely to be affected by hot and cold shocks. The difference between the heat diffusion coefficient of glass and backsheet is more than 7 times, so the use of double-glass modules can solve the heat dissipation problem and reduce the hot spot damage.
- No aluminum frame design, effectively solve PID. double-glass module adopts frameless design, without aluminum frame, it is impossible to establish the electric field that causes PID, which greatly reduces the possibility of PID decay. Low attenuation and long life span, power generation increase by more than 20%.
- Double-glass modules with lower attenuation rate can increase power generation by about 3%, but the increase in light transmission after the glass replaces the back panel brings power loss, so the comprehensive power generation gain of double-glass modules is about 1%.
- Gain: low attenuation rate contributes 3% increase in power generation. Since the attenuation rate of double-glass module is about 0.2 percentage points lower than that of single-glass module, the power generation of double-glass module will increase by 3% compared with traditional module under the same power generation condition.
- Loss: The amount of light transmission increases and the power loss is 2%. Because EVA film is transparent, there is no white backside to reflect the light leakage between cells, so that the amount of light in the cell to produce photoelectric effect is reduced due to higher light transmission, and the module will have at least 2% power loss. The use of white EVA as the encapsulation material on the back side will result in the phenomenon of white EVA overflowing to cover the cells, which cannot perfectly solve the problem of power loss.
- In addition, the sealing method of the double-glass module will affect the function of the water-resistance device, and the tolerance to wind pressure will be affected after losing the protection of the aluminum frame.
