Introduction of Get to know China's wind farms ------ Huitengxile Wind Farm
Huitengxile is a Mongolian language, meaning "cold mountain beam" in Chinese. It is located in the central part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, south of the middle banner of Chahar Right Wing and north of the Yin Mountain Range.
430 km from the capital Beijing, 110 km from the capital Hohhot, 95 km from Hohhot Baita International Airport, 30 km from Zhuozishan Station of Beijing-Baoshan Railway, 67 km from Ulanqab, 58 km from Ulanqab Airport and 65 km from National Highway 208. On October 23, 2014, Ulaanchab City, where Huitengxil Grassland is located, was officially named as the "Grassland Summer Capital of China".
On the vast and beautiful Huitengxile grassland, rows of huge wind turbines stand tall, their white bodies and elegant blades reflecting the blue sky, white clouds and horses and sheep, creating a beautiful picture. This is the Huitengxile Wind Farm, which once provided electricity for the Beijing Olympic Games.
Located in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Huitengxile grassland is a rich area for wind energy in China. In 1996, the first wind turbines were installed in Huitengxile, which has now developed into the largest wind farm in northern China.
Among the wind turbines at today's Huitengxile wind farm, it is reported that the 130 turbines, with a total installed capacity of over 100,000 kilowatts, have been connected to the grid since 2007 and will generate more than 200 million kilowatts of electricity this year. Compared to thermal power plants of the same scale, they can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 300,000 tonnes a year.
Detailed analysis
It is understood that the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region wind energy resources technically exploitable half of the country.
in recent years, in the country and the autonomous region to encourage preferential policies to support and guide, to 2009, Inner Mongolia, the region's installed capacity of grid-connected wind power has been more than 100% growth for six consecutive years, and built five megawatt wind power base, wind power grid-connected installed capacity accounted for about one-third of the country.
By the end of 2009, the total installed capacity of the Zhongyu Banner Huitengxile wind farm exceeded 1 million KW, reaching 1029MKW, and by the end of the year a total of 1085MW could be achieved, with 855MW of electricity being connected to the grid.
Tengxile Wind Farm is the largest wind farm in Asia, located on the Inner Mongolia Plateau, with a high sea level and a windy mouth, the wind resources are very rich, the annual average wind speed here is 7.2 m/s at 10 m height, 8.8 m/s at 40 m height, the wind power density is 662 watts/m2, the annual average air density is 1.07 kg/m3, and the 10 m height and 40 m height 5 - The effective wind hours at 25 m/s are 6,255 hours - 7,293 hours.
With its high stability, continuity and wind energy quality, it is the most ideal place to build a wind farm.
