The first 8MW+ onshore wind turbine of CRRC was successfully lifted
On Dec. 29, the latest flagship wind turbine- 8MW+, launched by CRRC Zhuzhou for the large base of "desert,gobi and wilderness" was successfully lifted in Zhangbei County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, empowering high-quality development with scientific and technological innovation and building a firm foundation of "Great National Weapon and Industrial Engine".

The platform wind turbine continues to solidify the mature double-fed technology, targeting the market of medium/medium-high/high wind speed wind area, with flexible adjustable power level between 7.15MW~8.35MW, impeller diameter can match 185m~215m, and the maximum wind sweeping area can reach 36305 square meters.
It can adopt localized bearing system, split technology, modular technology and box shift up technology, and the reuse rate of components between platforms is up to 90%, which not only reduces the design cost of the whole machine, but also greatly reduces the construction cost of wind farms and creates greater value for customers.
According to the calculation, the power generation capacity of a single unit is improved by 18% compared with 6.25MW, and it is expected to contribute about 29.66 million kWh of clean electricity per year, which can meet the annual domestic electricity demand of 12,700 households, equivalent to saving 11,866 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon emissions by 29,575 tons.
